Dr. Andrea Wolf

Dr. Andrea Wolf, MD, FACS, CST-T, IHP2 – Since joining the Grand Rapids medical community in 2006, Dr. Andrea Wolf has built a distinguished career in surgery and patient care. She completed her surgical residency in Grand Rapids in 2011, followed by a fellowship in Minimally Invasive and Hepatopancreatobiliary Surgery (focusing on the liver, pancreas, and bile ducts) in Philadelphia in 2012.

For over ten years, Dr. Wolf practiced General Surgery and Surgical Oncology at Spectrum (Corewell) Health. Her commitment to patient care deepened with a fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Medicine completed in 2020, enhancing her ability to connect with and support her patients comprehensively.

Dr. Wolf has also studied functional neurology and manual therapies, including craniosacral therapy, visceral manipulation, and somatoemotional release. To enhance her understanding of a holistic approach to health, she completed training in Integrative Health, blending Eastern medicine practices with Functional Medicine. These skills complement her traditional medical training, allowing her to successfully treat a variety of conditions, often without surgery when that is what has been prescribed. Her primary passion lies in treating chronic abdominal pain and addressing other chronic health issues that traditional medicine has not adequately resolved.

Chelsea Hall, PA-C

Chelsea began her career as a Registered Dietitian, specializing in pediatric surgery at the University of Michigan’s C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital. It was during this time that she developed a deep appreciation for understanding medicine at a molecular level—how nutrition, physiology, and biochemistry intersect to influence healing.

After several years in clinical practice, Chelsea pursued her Master of Science in Medicine and became board-certified as a Physician Assistant. Throughout her training, she was known for her curiosity – constantly asking “why?” Why did a disease form? Why did a treatment work? Why was a particular study designed a certain way? She came to believe that without understanding the “why,” optimal care cannot be achieved.

For the past eight years, Chelsea has practiced in Critical Care Medicine, managing the most complex and acute cases. These experiences deepened her awareness of the long-term impacts of nutrition, chronic disease, environmental exposure, genetics, and lifestyle. Blending her backgrounds in nutrition and medicine, Chelsea brings an integrative, evidence-based approach to patient care. She believes in thinking beyond conventional frameworks – using Western medicine when appropriate, while exploring the root-cause and incorporating functional perspectives to restore health. Her philosophy can best be described as open-minded, science-driven medicine.

Chelsea met Dr. Wolf in the hospital setting, where their long conversations revealed a shared passion for approaching medicine through both innovation and curiosity. She is thrilled and honored to join Synchrony Health, where she looks forward to helping patients uncover and address the “why” behind their health. Chelsea’s background fits well into the framework of Synchrony’s mission of providing balanced, sustainable, and effective results.  Dr. Wolf chose Chelsea to continue the mission of helping those struggling with chronic disease because of her knowledge and passion for results-driven patient care.
