MALS – Median Arcuate Ligament Syndrome is a disorder characterized by upper abdominal pain with eating. The diagnosis is typically made by ultrasound or CT scan findings that show part of the diaphragm (median arcuate ligament) compressing the celiac artery, a major blood supply to the stomach. Despite this surgically correctable finding, symptoms are often relieved by blocking surrounding nerves. If surgery is performed, there is a high likelihood the pain will return in part or fully within the next few years. While initial results of surgery are promising, Dr. Wolf‘s experience of seeing these patient’s return with the same symptoms has lead her to reevaluate the underlying cause and explore alternative treatments. Using traditional medications for symptom management and a variety of body manipulation techniques, Dr. Wolf hopes to provide patients with lasting pain relief while avoiding unnecessary surgery.

Pain – Acute and chronic pain exists in more forms than there are names for it. The variety of treatments offered at Synchrony Health are designed to target pain at its origin. Using coupled therapies including craniosacral therapy, neurovestibular rehab, and ketamine infusions, we expect dramatic reductions in your pain levels without the need for long-term medication treatment or unnecessary surgery.

POTS – Postural Orthostatic Tachycardic Syndrome can lead to symptoms of racing heart and light headedness or fainting upon standing. It is often very resistant to treatment which traditionally focuses on symptom management using medications, diet alteration, and cardiac rehab. At Synchrony Health, we can provide hydration as necessary while treating the underlying cause. This is done by identifying the source within the brain and providing therapies to restore normal function.

SMAS -Superior Mesenteric Artery Syndrome is a condition traditionally treated with surgery. Dr. Wolf’s has extensive experience treating SMAS both surgically and through use of the nervous system and hands-on approaches.

Vertigo – Dizziness or a sense of moving while still can be a nuisance or can be completely debilitating. It can also lead to other symptoms such as nausea and headache. Neurologic vestibular rehab is a main focus of Synchrony Health, and we can reset the vestibular system to eliminate these symptoms.
